AUSTRALIA: BISHOP FINNIGAN APPOINTED BY POPE TO TEMPORAILY REPLACE MORRIS

JCE REPORT: The Holy Father has appointed Bishop Brian Finnigan as Apostolic Administrator of the Toowoomba Diocese. This comes upon the recent forced early retirement of Bishop Morris. Bishop Finnigan was ordained 41 years ago. In a Pastoral statement released by the Australian Conference of Bishops' Bishop Finnigan hopes for renewed prayer and a personal relationship with Jesus among the members of the Diocese.
